The Client
The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA)
This client is a UK based charity dedicated to supporting people affected by spinal cord injuries. Their work provides advice, guidance and support to individuals living with spinal cord injuries, as well as their families.
In addition, the charity advocates for those affected by spinal cord injuries, working closely with healthcare professionals and organisations involved in an individual’s care.
They also lead a range of campaigns focused on improving medical care, rehabilitation services and ongoing support for people living with spinal cord injuries.
The Spinal Injuries Association’s aim is to help individuals navigate life after injury, overcome barriers, and connect with the support and resources they need to live fulfilled and independent lives.
The Requirements
SIA wanted to strengthen its cyber security posture following a previous infiltration. To help protect its data, the organisation wanted to introduce a monitoring platform designed to identify and respond to potential threats, particularly those originating from outside the UK.
The Spinal Injuries Association were seeking additional assistance in cyber security awareness training to help the team better identify and manage email-based threats.
Following recommendation, SIA contacted CybaVerse to help them with their cyber security requirements.
Timely Collaboration
Scoping & Pre Testing
From the outset, CybaVerse worked closely with the client, communicating clearly to demonstrate how our knowledge, experience and platform could support their requirements. During these discussions, it was also identified that achieving Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification would further strengthen their cyber security posture.
Working collaboratively, CybaVerse and the Spinal Injuries Association developed a robust solution that not only met the organisation’s security requirements but also aligned with its budget.

Structured onboarding
Implementing CybaOps
The Spinal Injuries Association introduced CybaOps as part of its cyber security strategy. CybaOps is a user-friendly cyber security platform designed to help organisations like SIA manage and improve their security from a single, centralised portal.
The platform brings together key capabilities such as vulnerability scanning, monitoring, compliance support, incident response and reporting, giving organisations clear visibility over their cyber security posture. It has enabled the Spinal Injuries Association to receive and manage notifications in one place, rather than having to monitor multiple portals and tools.
By combining automation, real time insights and expert support, CybaOps helps SIA identify risks, maintain compliance and respond to potential threats more effectively without the complexity of managing multiple separate security tools.
The Spinal Injuries Association said: ‘CybaOps met and exceeded all the strategic and budgetary conditions. The portal is vert user-friendly and the CybaVerse employees are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable’.

Support Beyond Our Cloud Based Platform
In addition to introducing the platform to the organisation, CybaVerse also developed a dedicated onboarding presentation for new employees and to help upskill current team members to ensure that they understand the importance of remaining vigilant against phishing emails and other common cyber threats.
The client said ‘CybaVerse is my first port of call for any security questions. I can genuinely say CybaVerse is the best company I have ever dealt. For security they are second to none.’
This resource has helped raise awareness across the organisation, giving staff the knowledge and confidence to better identify suspicious emails and potential security risks. By equipping the team with practical guidance, the training supports the Spinal Injuries Association in strengthening its overall cyber security posture and creating a culture where security awareness is part of everyday working practices.
